Luxury vacation villa with wellness
Ultima Thule is a holiday resort in Belgium for up to 10 guests (or 11 with a baby), located by the dunes with an open view of the North Sea. The back garden offers 6000 m² of peace, wellness, and child-friendly freedom – complete with chickens and sheep.
The villa is built in Tudor style and has been renovated to combine authenticity with modern comfort. Enjoy cooking on the AGA stove or barbecue on the terrace. Need to fully relax? Head to the garden sauna or take a soak in the zinc-plated hot tub. This is a holiday house with a hot tub like no other.
Explore Ostend and beyond
Ultima Thule is a holiday suite in Oostende, located in the quiet district of Raversijde – just 500 metres from the beach and 3 km from the city centre. Follow the dune path outside the house southwest to the Atlantikwall, or northeast into town.
In Ostend you’ll find museums, the James Ensor House, Mu.ZEE, Fort Napoleon (by ferry), and excellent restaurants. There are two swimming pools nearby, one within walking distance.

Availability and rental periods
How long and when can you rent Ultima Thule?
You can rent Ultima Thule all year round for a short or long weekend, a midweek stay, or a full week.
During the holiday periods, the house can only be rented for a full week, from Friday to Friday.
From reservation to arrival
What happens after you book our slow living resort
- You pay a deposit at the start of the booking. The reservation is only confirmed after we have received a deposit of 50% of the total rental amount.
- For reservations made less than 30 days before arrival, the full rental amount as well as the security deposit of €2,000 must be paid immediately at the time of booking.
- After booking, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with all the details of your reservation.
- About one month before your stay, we will send you a detailed welcome email with all practical information such as check-in times, directions, additional services, and a payment request for the remaining 50% balance and the €2,000 security deposit.
If the payment is not made on time, the owner reserves the right to cancel the reservation. - A few days before your stay, you will receive a reminder email with some final tips.

- During your stay, you will receive a phone number you can contact directly for any questions.

Céline Coppin, a local of the region, combines a background in social work and nursing with training in Chinese medicine. Her broad view on wellbeing makes Ultima Thule more than just a regular holiday house with a hot tub – it’s a place for true rest.
She transformed this coastal home into a beach retreat villa – a peaceful setting for families and small groups to slow down and reconnect with nature and themselves.
Why the name Ultima Thule for this luxury vacation villa?
In classical literature, Thule or Ultima Thule referred to the furthest known place in the north – or metaphorically, the edge of the known world. It stood for discovery, exploration, and pushing your limits. This is exactly what we hope to offer here.

By car
Motorway E40
Follow the E40 towards Ostend / Calais / Veurne.
Take exit Gistel / Ostend (exit 5).
After the exit, follow the signs towards Ostend.
You will arrive on Torhoutsesteenweg; continue until the roundabout.
Follow the N341 / Duinkerkseweg towards Ostend.
Turn onto Nieuwpoortsesteenweg and follow it to number 873.
By train, tram, bus
From the station you can:
Take bus 60 or 7 that runs along or near Nieuwpoortsesteenweg. Get off at Mariakerke Dorpsstraat.
Or take the Coastal Tram (KT) to a stop near Nieuwpoortsesteenweg. Get off at Mariakerke Duinenkerkje.
From the stop, it is a short walk (< 5 min) to number 873.
